Wausau Boot & Saddle Club in Wausau, WI is hosting an AESL Clinic and Demonstration in June to kick off their summer league. See the flyer for details on how to register for the clinic or just come on down and watch. Current AESL members/teams are welcome to participate in one or all of the Boot & Saddle Club league dates (listed on the calendar at www.equinesoccer.org) but should register with the Boot & Saddle Club representative so they can plan for the matches. Whole team can't play this summer? Not a problem - Boot & Saddle will help find you team mates.

The sun was shining bright today as KMT took on Majors Minors with KMT winning 6 to 1 1/2. Yes you read that right ,one and a half points were earned by Majors Minors. Want to know how...come to the next games at Keystone Stables on March 19 and we'll tell you....
There will be a soccer clinic and demonstration at Wausau Boot & Saddle Club on Sunday June 12 for anyone interested in playing this summer in a fun summer league at the Club. (current league members in the Wausau area can participate too) This would be a great place for some youth teams to get involved. Boot & Saddle Club does a great job of encouraging the youth of the area to stay active with their horses and soccer really helps keep the training/riding fresh for the horse and rider. Check back here for a flyer and more details about who to contact to register for the clinic and demo times.

The competition started up again this year at Keystone Stables with Hags on Nags winning against Circle L with a score of 5 to 1. The remaining two games, amazingly, ended with the exact same scores of 0 to 3. Team 2 won against Majors Minors and KMT won against the Misfits. Nice playing everyone!

Tell your friends there are a few spots left and the weather should be good!
Anyone interested in learning more about America's Equine Soccer League, having a chance to desensitize their horse to the soccer ball, watch a demo, and possibly join the league that is forming in the Marshfield area should give Donna Eckes a call at 715-676-2967 to schedule a time (if bringing a horse) or to get directions. The event is free and Tim Robus at Backwoods Stables has offered the use of his indoor arena to host the league.
As many of you know this is a great, inexpensive (only $25 to join the league), fun sport that any age rider can participate in. We would love to see a youth team form in Marshfield too so bring your whole family out! In 2010 the youth team at Keystone Stables in Merrill took 1st in the league tournament!

Wow - what a great turn-out and day for the Coggins Clinic and free desensitzing day at Keystone Stables. The weather was perfect for January in Wisconsin -sunny and no wind. Some folks even had lawn chairs out and kicked back by their trailers for awhile. Lots of new faces, some from an hour away, taking advantage of Dr. Griffin's veterinary care while learning more about soccer. Thanks to Dr. Griffin and Andrea for their hard work in making sure all our equines stay healthy and thanks to all the league members who are spreading the word to their friends about the AESL.
First game day this season - January 22!!
