Congratulations to Majestic Winds Stables for becoming the premier site in southeastern WI of AESL play this summer. ShellyAnn will host play/games on May 17 and if there is enough interest in getting a summer league organized in the Horicon area she'd love to run them this summer too. Interested or know others who might be? Contact ShellyAnn at 920-382-7978 or see our facebook page at www.facebook.com/AESL.us for a flyer with all the details.

Welcome to new AESL members Aaron Wallner, Jamie Whitmore, Tessa Geurink, Sarah and Kaitlyn Lehrke, Sarah Hytry, and Merle and Jerry Graebel! All started racking up individual points when they played this past weekend at Keystone Stables. A few of these folks had played a game or two last year but most jumped in fresh this year. Thanks to our veteran players for taking time to do some gracious teaching while playing. Scores were Misfits 5 vs Rough Riders 1, RazMaTaz 3 vs Keystone 5, and Hamilton Heights 15 vs. New Kids on the Block 2.

The fall league play at Keystone Stables in Merrill WI got off to a great start with great weather. Team The Misfits squared off against Circle L and experienced a 10-0 win. Sadly we learned that Cajun, one of Circle L's team member's soccer horse, who played at Midwest Horse Fair (you will all remember her as the one-eyed horse) has a severe leg injury from this Fall that might end her long life. Our hearts and prayers go out to Amy and and Cajun. Amy and Cajun have had many great rides and games together. The game day at Keystone finished off with a new team (yet unnamed) versus Hamilton Heights and ended with Hamilton taking a 6 to 1 win.

Keystone players were loving WI 70+ degree spring day for their match-ups. Due to technical difficulties, Majors Minors had to forfeit the full game to the Berlin Bombers but some fun last quarter play had all those wolly coated equines working up a sweat. Game #2 ended in tie between KMT and Misfits at 1 to 1. The last match up of the day was Circle L (8) vs. Hamilton Heights (0). Thanks to Kristen from the Edgar Record Review newspaper for the opportunity to spread the word about the AESL.

Lots of strategizing going on in this years season opening of the AESL at Keystone Stables in Merrill, WI. Team KMT overtook Team Hamilton Heights in a 5 to 3 win. The second match up put the Misfits against Majors Minors and ended in a 10-0 win for the Misfits. Majors Minors welcome two new horse/player match ups so despite the loss were happy with the play. Great job everyone! See you all in two weeks!

Despite very windy conditions, AESL teams came out in full force in support of Stable Hands Therapy Center October 15th tournament. Tournament results were KMS (1) versus Hamilton Heights (0) in game one, The Misfits (1) versus Circle L (0) in game two, KMS (2) versus Major's Minors (0) in game three, and KMS and The Misfits agreeing to tie out the championship game after three overtime sessions still resulting in a final score of 0 to 0!
Special thanks go to all the AESL sponsors, Stable Hands Therapy for inviting us out, Nutrena and Marathon Town and Country for supplying some of the teams with grain prizes, and for Meyer Buildings for providing the teams with $200 in cash prize money.
